I had a herniated disc for over 4 years. Pain in my leg was almost unbearable when it was at its worst. I was not able to function normally. Simple every day things would set off my pain. I was searching for an alternative to surgery. I have been to a neurosurgeon twice and both times told to have surgery. My MD wanted to put me on muscle relaxers and pain killers. I have had pain in my legs for several years. The pain became so bad I tried acupuncture, injections in leg joints, ibuprofen, muscle relaxers, everything except surgery. I felt I would only get worse not better. I heard about spinal decompression on the radio and said: "Hey that sounds great!" I'm on my 7th treatment and still improving. I felt relief after my 1st treatment. I'm getting better everyday. I still have some pain but mostly soreness. I can tell it is getting better! I would recommend this treatment. I certainly hope it heals me and I have a better quality of life. I have to drive 1½ hours to get to my appointments in Plano, but it will go by fast. When I came the first day to see Dr. Coleman, I was having a lot of back pain, couldn't walk upright and couldn't do many of the activities I enjoy doing. With my last treatment today it is hard to look back and believe I had that much trouble. I haven't had any pain since the third treatment; I can walk upright again, and have been able to get back to my activities. This 23 year old is very thankful. - Molly Curtis

A couple of months ago, I developed a serious back problem. I suffered severe pain and was confined to my home for about three weeks. After treatment by my local doctors, with no success, I heard about Genesis Spine Associates on the radio. After several visits to them I am back to about 90% of my normal activity with no more severe pain.

I'm writing this note to let you know how much I appreciate the thorough, professional care I have received and the tremendous improvement in the relief from my back and leg pain. I awakened on the 29th of May with my entire lower left side in pain, virtually keeping me from walking without aid. I sought assistance, on the 30th, with a massage, followed up with chiropractic and acupuncture, the next day. On June 2nd I went to the emergency room thinking I might have a broken hip, since the pain had not subsided. At the ER I was given morphine IV for relief and had an X-ray, MRI and a Sonogram... The doctors were looking for broken bones, blood clot, etc…. The MRI showed problems with L1-L5, and with L3-L5 being herniated. I was given Valium and Vicodin for pain relief and sent home. For the next three days, I continued with the Chiropractic/Acupuncture, again with little relief. On June 6, I went to my MD and was given another prescription for Valium and Vicodin to manage the pain. It was at this point I heard a radio advertisement for Genesis Spine Associates and how they treat the Dallas Cowboys. I looked them up on the Internet and called for a free evaluation. The next day, June 7th, my wife took me to the Plano Genesis Spine Associates Office. I hobbled in aided with a cane and was introduced to Dr. Nicholas Coleman. After showing my MRI to Dr. Coleman, he explained what kind of treatment he would recommend and the procedures necessary to help get rid of the pain. I started my series of treatments the next day and continued through July 25th going daily for adjustment and decompression therapy. My cane was not needed after the 5th visit for therapy. It was not until the 10th treatment, June 25th ; I was able to stop taking the Valium and Vicodin and have not needed them since. My progress continued gradually, and by the 20th visit, the pain was minimal. By the 25th treatment, I was virtually pain free and was released from daily visits and was scheduled for follow up visits as needed. These folks are the best! Without their expertise I doubt I would be feeling as good today. Thank you!! - William Phillips

Most things that sound too good to be true usually are, but this truly is... true. After years of medication following back surgery there really seemed to be no hope of ever having a normal, pain free life again until I met Dr. Coleman. No, there is no quick fix and I was skeptical as things slowly and painfully began to change. Dr. Coleman and the rest of the staff at Genesis Spine Associates have been such a blessing to our family. My husband has had back problems his whole life, and nobody has ever been able to keep him pain free until Dr. Coleman. Now, thanks to chiropractic and spinal decompression therapy, he’s better than ever and has been that way for a long time. When I had severe back problems during my pregnancy, Dr. Coleman was able to eliminate my pain and I never had to use any medicine. He was very gentle and knowledgeable about caring for a pregnant patient, and I’m so glad I went to him. And finally, when my son was born with a flat head and we were told he needed a helmet, Dr. Coleman was able to round his head out in just 4 treatments. I don’t know how he did it since he just barely touched his head each time, but it worked and even the pediatrician was blown away by the results.
